Thanksgiving with the Jones'!

Thanksgiving 2010!
Our thanksgiving was a blast this year!
All of our neighbors met up at the Jones' home.
We ate, watched the game and chatted.
We made box for everyone to put on a peice of paper, what they were thankful for in their lives.
Later on we all sat around and read our thoughts aloud!
The kids had a blast also with pin the feathers on the turkey.
I cant think of a better way to spend a thanksgiving away from home then with our wonderful military family!

I Almost Can't Believe It!

Our baby girl is turning one!

Seem's like just yesterday we were trying to pick out a name for our beautiful little girl and now, Today, exactly a year ago, we were going through the most scary time in our lives.
Saylor Ann Tibbitts
DOB: 12/09/09
WEIGHT: 1 pound 5 ounces
HEIGHT: 14 1/2"
Time of Birth: 12:05 a.m

It's AMAZING to me how such a tiny little baby could grow to be such a healthy little girl.
She's TRULY a blessing from GOD!

Deck the Halls :)

The christmas spirit came to the Tibbitts house early this year!
This past saturday we put up our christmas tree and made our candycane bucket :)
We had so much fun doing it as a family!
Now we are going to sit back and wait for Santa to visit our home on Christmas Eve!

Bowling was a Blast :)

Daddy "Baby sat" as he would say....., Bug! lol We went to the bowling alley 30 min's before our reservation and ended up crashing a little kids birthday party. haha. Then when time came to start we had a BLAST! We Cosmic Bowled, ate pizza and talked girl talk, all while listning to some BLAST FROM THE PAST music :)
It was so much fun and I cant wait untill next month!

Our visit to Jamestown.

November 13, 2010 the Tibbitts family decided to make a trip to Jamestown, VA!
Its only about 25 mins away from our home, which is WAY cool because that is where the United States started :) Jamestown is also where Pocahontas and John Smith met!
We walked aboard the God speed which is a ship that the settlers came to american it.
Well, a replaca. Either way, it was fun! We had an awesome day!

"Bug and Daddy beside the God Speed."

It's Halloween!

Ha ppy Halloween!

October 31, 2010

Halloween in Virginia was way more of an event then in Florida. I dressed up as a witch, Brent was a scary scarecrow and Bug was Tinkerbell. We had so many tricker treaters that we ran out of candy. Us and all of our neighbors dressed up. We bought some dry ice to make fog and had a black light on. Brent sat in a chair, VERY still with the candy bowl so the kids were so scared to get the candy. It was a very fun night. It was also Bugs first halloween!

Bug is sitting up!

In Early October, not sure the exact date, Bug decided that It was the day to start working on becoming a "Big Girl." SHE SAT UP!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up.
Here's a pic of her first time sitting up on her own :)

Welcome to the family Gustaff :)

In late August, Early September 2010, Brent and Myself had a "Spur of the moment" Idea.
We decided to start looking for Saylor a dog. After looking in Pet shops for a few weeks
we had the idea of visiting a shelter. On our first visit to the Williamsburg Shelter we walked up and down
rows and rows of dogs, after looking at a poor little beagle (which was not house trained) We almost gave up for the day when we walked down the last row and saw a HUGE 10 yr old German Sheppard. At first glance I , right away, said NO WAY! We were looking for a small dog and that's what we were sticking to but, Brent insisted on taking him into the play room. We did and right away fell in love with him. He was so sweet, grew up in a day care so was used to being around kids and he WAS housed trained! His name was Gustaff. We applied and were accepted. We adopted him that day and came the next day to pick him up.
Today Gustaff is a VERY happy memeber of the Tibbitts family. We love him so much. He has also became Saylors best friend which is the whole reason for getting him!
"Welcome to the family Gustaff Tibbitts!"

The Move!

On August 19, 2010 we set off to a new adventure to Norfolk, VA.
After growing up in a small town my whole life, I was very nervous. Brent wasnt as
nervous as I was but there was a little fright just of the thought of being on our own! Bug had no care in the world of what was going on around her because she was in the truch with her daddy :) We loded the uhaul the day before with the help of my little brother, Logan. The next morning
at 4:00 a.m we started off in the Uhaul with Brents truck attached to the back and my little beetle bug behind.
It was a 15 hour drive before we made it to the Naval Lodge in Norfolk. We stayed in the lodge one night and the next morning went to the housing office and found somewhere to live. It was an adventure for sure and we cant wait untill its time for a visit home!
